Alike a painting’s frame, a red gold Hexagon enhances a Morganite whose cut is a creation.
The gem is very delicately emphasized by a very fine closed collet setting made of pink gold, then enshrined in transparent sapphire crystal.
The whole piece is set in the Hexagon, whose outer side is paved with a fine line of small round diamonds (grain setting). The chain is made of red gold, dotted with a few brilliant round diamonds (closed collet setting).
The ear pendants: The same elements are used but deconstructed: the red gold hexagon only sets the transparent sapphire.
It is linked to the Morganite (pink gold collet setting) by a fine red gold chain dotted with small brilliant round diamonds (closed collet setting).
The purpose of those pieces of jewellery is to highligh the know-how and the talent of creative lapidaries who not only master the cutting, the faceting but also the engraving process .
The cut used in this gouache is Sebastien Hourrègue’s creation.
